What is a turnkey project?
A turnkey project, also known as a turnkey contract or EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction), is a contract in which a construction company is responsible for all, or almost all, of the stages of the construction of a an architectural work.
Complete management of your project
As part of a turnkey project, the construction company is responsible for requesting municipal authorizations, handling all supply requests, managing industrial equipment, building, installing and set up the house, respecting a pre-agreed overall price and deadline.
In other words, when you sign such a contract, you hire a company to design the construction works and carry out the whole project taking into account your requirements as a client. The company is also responsible for managing all the legal aspects necessary for the execution of the work.
The principles of a turnkey project
The first principle is the design, processing and preparation of the project, which is the responsibility of a specific person or company. This means that a team of experts is responsible for supporting all stages of planning, design and preparation of the project, taking into account the requirements and needs of the client. This approach ensures consistent management and a holistic view of the project, ensuring that all specifications and details are considered from the start.
The second key principle is the company's commitment to deliver a completely ready job, with all the necessary resources for almost immediate occupancy. This means that the construction company is responsible for the complete realization of the project, from construction to final placement, in order to deliver a work ready for use without additional delay. This includes the coordination of the different teams, the management of supplies, the installation of equipment and all other aspects necessary to make the project operational.
These principles guarantee an integrated approach and clear responsibility of the construction company throughout the process. They allow transparent communication and close collaboration with the client, while ensuring the delivery of a high quality project, respecting the agreed deadlines and specifications.
